JOIN OUR BOARD

Resource & Crisis Center of Galveston County, Inc is managed by a Board of Directors that meets quarterly to oversee all aspects of RCC. If you are interested in joining our Board of Directors or Advisory Board, please review the expectations listed below and submit an application.

RCC Board of Directors
  • Attend regular and special board meetings. The Board of Directors meets five times per year. Our by-laws stipulate that any member with three consecutive absences will be considered inactive and may be removed from the Board.

  • Join at least one committee and attend meetings as needed for that committee.

  • Represent the Resource and Crisis Center of Galveston County, Inc. in the community and at functions.

  • Actively participate in fundraising activities by providing resources, offering knowledge and guidance, and helping in promotion of the campaign or event.

  • Assist in the identification and recruitment of new board or advisory board members.

RCC Advisory Board
  • Attend the annual advisory board meeting and other events/functions (as requested).  This is important so that each Advisory board member can get the most up to date information and changes to our programs and annual training.

  • Be informed and up to date about the program(s), services, supports, and activities.

  • Share developments in the field with the board.

  •  Provide support and advice to the Board and programs.

  • Serve as an ambassador and advocate to the programs providing a connection to and ongoing exchange of information and ideas.

  • Assist in the identification and recruitment of new board or advisory board members.
